"Of course, it would be a nonsense to say that a Yacht Designer doesn't look for the perfection when he works on a new project. But I look for innovation too, new hidrodinamic lines, hulls, structures, safe at sea, speed... because I think there are so many things to do and to invent in naval field. This is my first premise.
Thinking about futuristic yachts and ideas is a fantastic exercise - I do it continuously -, but the most important is to make them reality. Often I have seen incredible ideas and designs but, are them achievable, realizable and/or feasible? I always have this in mind when design a new boat, because I look for futuristic lines and designs but which can be achievable, realizable, feasible and over all buildable. This is my second premise.
Time. A very important word. What is for me the basic idea of a good design? Sometimes I see awesome designs, but with time, taking again a look to them I realize that they are outdated, unsightly and even ugly. For example, take a look to a beautiful classic car. It was born beautiful and will continue being beautiful after years or decades. That is what I look for on my designs that its concept perdure in the Time. And, this is my third premise.
