60' LOA Classic Sailboat "Sloop".
Basic Description:
She is a 60’ (18 m.) LOA, 17’ (5 m.) beam and 16 tonnes displacement classic sailboat sloop, but only in appearance. Under the water has a so studied hydrodynamic lines with great coefficients which allows her be used both in races (Coastal/club and offshore) and sailing (Coastal and oceanic). She is not a long keel sailboat the fin keel has NACA sections finished in a NACA lead bulb, she has a spade rudder with NACA sections too.
Building main material is wood and the hull will be two cross sectional layers at 45 degrees of Douglas Fir with a finished layer of FRP. Keel, stem, stern post and main internal structure will be laminated Oak wood with Epoxy.
The boat is plenty of room for storage. Forward is a double cabin with a head with shower which is shared with the rest of the crew. Starboard side is a double cabin with a head with shower. In the middle is a generous salon which can be converted in a double and a single berth. Port side is a generous chart table and instruments area which is back to the bow to avoid instruments direct flooding in the case of massive water inlet. Aft and port side is a double cabin. Starboard side is a complete galley and aft a generous quarter berth. All berths are 2 m. long. At the bow is a storage area for sails and more. Aft starboard side quarter berth could be converted as an option in a storage area.
Deck and cockpit are plenty of brass and bronze fittings and hardware.
